Based on supplier’s qualification status and their transaction volume from the past year, Alibaba.com will grant the supplier a Trade Assurance Limit, which can be used to protect buyers’ payments made to suppliers.

The Trade Assurance Limit is the maximum coverage amount for the supplier to use on all orders - you will not necessarily be covered by this amount for your order. You will be covered by the remaining amount of the supplier's Trade Assurance Limit up to your initial payment amount.
